PreSchool-K–Those naughty monkeys are back, and this time they're tormenting their baby-sitter. Mama's instructions are clear: "Lulu's the sitter./You'd better be good./No tricks! No silliness!/Is that understood?" They promise to behave and invite Lulu to be "it" for a game of hide-and-seek. She counts to 10 and quickly finds the little monkeys concealed in various spots around the living room. They beg for one more round, Lulu counts to 24, and her charges slip out into the yard, where she swiftly uncovers them. Finally, she counts to 124, and this time, Lulu can't locate them, and she's really worried. However, Mama peeks in the window as she comes home and sees them in the one place that never occurred to the baby-sitter–their own beds. The simple and colorful pen-and-ink and gouache artwork will be familiar to readers of Christelow's earlier books about these mischievous animals. The energetic illustrations work well with the overall mood of silliness. In addition to searching the pictures for the missing monkeys, children will enjoy the repetitive, rhyming nature of this story and will join in on the counting. A delightful choice for a group setting or for one-on-one sharing.

Listen, my kids love the "little monkeys" but I used this one to teach my "almost" 4 yr old to count up to and past 100. As reader you might be tempted to gloss over the counting but if your kid is ready this is a great way to teach them to count. Add it to your library so you'll have when they are ready. I was amazed none of the other reviews emphasized this point, so I just had to add my two cents.

风过不留痕: 能引发孩子互动性的好书--躲猫猫

五只小猴子系列书之一，内容贴近孩子生活，文字上有不少是高度重复，极易上口。我们正好是春节期间阅读本书，前后读了两遍后孩子就开始和妈妈一起玩躲猫猫，期间不停地重复书中的句子，兴致非常高。5-8岁小朋友应该都会喜欢，建议把整个系列都借回去一读。只是觉得馆里这套藏书是不是进得过少，目前看基本上都被借出去了。

清晨阳光: 从孩子熟悉的游戏入手来了解英语的表达方式

这个系列的书每一本都是经典啊。这本讲的是穿着漂亮衣服的妈妈要出去跳舞，交代lulu看好五只宝贝（猴子）。结果妈妈一走她们就开始玩hide-and- seek的游戏。和我们宝贝玩的捉迷藏一样，一只猴子先捂住眼睛其余猴子去藏，被捂着眼睛的人要数数，这里最多数到200多好像，然后问好了没，我来了。于是开始找藏起来的猴子，哦，发现了：脚趾头、手指头、头发、眼睛、鼻子，图画上表现的游戏孩子们很熟悉，只不过这些都是用英语来表达的。我和6岁女儿看是看的时候就聊图，聊图中的内容和它们的游戏，渐渐看的熟了就可以说英文了，几遍之后（不是同一天看的）就完全用英文讲了。本书不但游戏有趣，画面内容生动，而且还能学会捉迷藏过程中的很多英语表达方式，真的不错，这也正是多看原版书的价值所在啊。

这本书情节生动有趣，非常吸引人。妈妈晚上出门了，Lulu管小猴子们睡觉。小猴子们强烈要求做个游戏--捉迷藏。第一次数10个数开始找，小猴子们藏在屋子里各个地方，lulu看到了手指，脚趾，鼻子，一个个的轻松的给找出来了。小猴子们不罢休，缠着再玩一次。这次树24个数才能开始找，小猴子们藏在屋外的树上，垃圾桶，灌木丛，lulu又是看到了手指，脚趾，鼻子，一个个的轻松的给找出来了。猴子们还不罢休，继续缠着再玩，数了104个数，小猴子们藏到了lulu怎么也想不到的地方，lulu找不到了。妈妈回来了，lulu只好交待小猴子们gone!妈妈觉得好奇怪，说看到猴子们在床上呀！哈哈，小猴子们藏到了床上！！故事还没完~~继续玩捉迷藏，小猴子们数数，结果数着数着进入了梦乡~~故事这样一步一步的引人入胜，而且在重复的情节里面重复了一些句子，单词。不漏痕迹的学英语。本来我们阅读0基础，可是在这个书里不经意的也会注意些单词的。将平时学过的fingers,toes,nose融汇在故事里，还有那些数字！强烈推荐！

xiaovanessa: 5岁女儿最喜欢的一本书

色彩明快，故事生动有趣，人物惟妙惟肖，是5岁女儿最喜欢的一本书。猴妈妈要出门，委托LuLu照顾五只小猴子，淘气的小猴们要求LuLu陪他们玩Hide and seek一遍又一遍。我也特爱这本书，小猴就像我女儿的影子，调皮又可爱。我想Lyn喜欢这本书的最大原因是因为可以玩Hide and seek的游戏，我们已经数不清玩过多少遍这个游戏了。
