| In conjunction with the release of the 2010 movie "Iron Man 2", Marvel Comics brought out a series of children's picture books. "Iron Man 2: Iron Man vs. Whiplash" reprises, in a simplified fashion, the battle between Tony Stark as Iron Man and Ivan Vanko as Whiplash during the auto race sequence of the movie. The vocabulary is suitable to beginning readers and is accompanied by exciting but easy to understand illustrations.
The cover art of "Iron Man 2: Iron Man vs. Whiplash" features Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man and Mickey Rourke as Whiplash as seen in the movie. The actual picture book illustrations are in a simplified comic book style. "Iron Man 2: Iron Man vs. Whiplash" is recommended to parents with children who might be interested in the movie and in the process of learning to read. |
