| We came upon this book in the discount bin of our local bookstore. Being as this book was discounted to 99 cents, we did not have high expectations. Much to our surprise, it has become one of kids' favorites. The illustrations are colorful and bright, and the font used presents the reader with the impression that a child actually penned the book. This helps to make this a fun read.
What is especially great about this book is that it helps kids understand that moms do many of the jobs around the house sometimes considered "dad's job". An example of this is when the author writes about the mom attempting to repair the washing machine, albeit unsuccessfully, yet attempted nonetheless. The book empowers women and this is a valuable lesson for children to learn, especially impressionable young girls.
This is a very good book to add to your child's library. |
