In rhymed couplets, the child expresses how important her mother is to her every day and all year round. Realistic, attractive illustrations show the parent and child engaged in many activities, with the mother the center of them. "Mommy is a caterpillar in her snug cocoon./I cuddle up beside her beneath a circle moon." The heartwarming picture shows the woman in a sleeping bag and her daughter snuggled up next to her, looking up at the full moon. | Mommy is a Soft, Warm Kiss has brought many hours of joy to our family. My daughter (age 4) and son (age 2) both love to read it and the illustrations are especially captivating. I especially like the way the book tracks the daughter's love for the mother through all of the seasons and through everyday activities. It is a must read for all ages! |
