In Yaccarino's illustrations, garish orange jack-o'-lanterns with stark black eyes are accompanied by a blankly staring white ghost and a black cat. Although this short poem has been a perennial favorite of the storytime set, some children may find these faces frightening rather than appealing. In Wrapping Paper Romp, Plecas depicts a cheerful, round-faced toddler in orange pajamas tearing apart a colorfully wrapped present as a cat paws at a bow. Hubbell's rhyming couplets will hold youngsters' interest as they recognize the peek-a-boo game that the main character plays with the kitten behind the purple tissue paper. The third one said, "But we don't care."
The fourth one said, "Let's run, let's run!"
The fifth one said, "Isn't Halloween fun?"
Then Woooooo went the wind
And OUT went the lights.
And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
My 2 1/2 year old just loves Halloween. It's only June as I write this and he's already asking if Halloween is coming soon almost on a daily basis. So when I saw this book at a yard sale I just had to pick it up. This delightful verse that has been around so long is accompanied by cute and spooky illustrations of pumpkins, ghosts, witches, and black cats. Just a delightful and sturdy little board book. Perfect for your little goblin. |

依旧是我和女儿喜欢的小开本硬板书。
内容简单，句子琅琅上口。
five little pumpkins...
the first one said...
the second one said..
...
女儿听的音频资料中也有类似的，所以感觉比较熟悉，也容易接受。
five little fishes...
the first one said...
the second one said..
...
再说一说图画和文字的对应，由于文字有几句比较抽象，图画不能很好地反映出来。所以女儿对于图的读解就很快，不像《go to sleep, daisy》那样细细地看上好一会儿，还嘀嘀咕咕地描绘她所看到的。
这也是在我的预料中，所以我就重点引导她看其中几幅图，让她观察每个南瓜的不同，表情，眼睛的形状，还有牙齿，女巫的衣着、颜色，女巫在哪里，为什么她能到空中呢，还有数数的环节也是必不可少的。one, two, threr, four, five!

小儿子看到这本书就抢过去看了。他比较喜欢里面的南瓜，问我南瓜们不同的表情，顺便可以告诉他表情里英语怎么表达。。他喜欢里面的小房子，月亮，都仔细看过，问些问题。。最后问南瓜为啥都跑远了，是怎么跑的？几乎每个小图都看过了。
你看，问题挺多呢。这本书很简单，适合0-3岁孩子看，看图片，读句子给他听。用英文数南瓜。
同上，我也觉得句子比较抽象，但不影响孩子看绘本。可以好好利用。 |

很可爱的书！因为万圣节带孩子去玩过了，所以给她借本南瓜。表情各异的南瓜可惹人喜欢了，孩子会模仿，会根据表情寻找the first,second,third,forth,fifth one. 也喜欢witchs in the air, 自己也骑着扫把飞起来。适合0-2岁孩子阅读，文字简单。 |

这本书初拿到手,不知道该如何给孩子讲,在网上找相关资料也没有什么特别的.后来就不管三七二十一了,读给孩子听听再说,没想到效果奇好,孩子听完一遍还要听,我就一遍一遍的读,越读就越明白作者表达的意思了.朗朗上口的儿歌,孩子听到这个节奏就特别的喜欢,一连读了上十遍,孩子很专注的在我边上听着,嘴巴里小舌头在模仿我说的句子.这正是我要的感觉.感谢安妮提供 |

每每读这本书，儿子总要按照顺序，问我，第一个南瓜它怎么了，说什么？第二个南瓜是怎么了，它说什么？由于每个南瓜的表情都很丰富，夸张的神态非常吸引孩子。不过这本书我自己感觉有点点难解释，一方面是中西文化的差异，一方面句子有点抽象，总觉得自己用中文解释得有些牵强，没有美感。于是，我就只说个大概意思，后面几遍回答儿子的时候直接英文没有中文，他也接受。小孩子还是喜欢这个画面和韵律节奏。 |

以前泛泛的听过wee sing，拿起这本书没想到就很自然的读出来了，调调比较自然。看来泛听也还是有用的。可惜的是8岁的孩子不算太喜欢，就是简单的翻翻。不适合反复阅读 |

画面非常有趣，有各种表情。和宝宝在画面方面多讨论一下也是很不错的。音频韵律节奏感强，很不错的一本书。就是妈妈英语水平差，理解的不是很好。 |
