| Annie Oakley captivated me when I was a young girl. This book captivated the 2nd graders I read it with. It's historical fiction, gives some basic information about Annie O's life, includes a timeline, and has a story based on fact that tugs at the heart. It's simple enough for this age group to understand and read alone. Nicely done illustrations, too! |
