| If you have a sensitive child, BEWARE of this book. One early chapter describes in agonizing detail the suffering, euthanasia and burial of a beloved poodle. Any child who cares about animals will be distressed reading this chapter, as I and my 8yo daughter were. We could read no further. Her classmate then told me "that's not all, look at this!". She pointed to an illustration from another chapter, where movie actors are shown running from something - note the man on the right with a (fake) bloody dagger protruding from his chest. This book does not belong on your child's reading list. |
