| Holy guacamole! Skippyjon Jones is crazy-loco for dinosaurs! The kitty boy enters (via his closet) the land of dinosaurs in search of the fabled Skipposaurus. Instead he runs into his old amigos, the Chimichango gang. When a T-Mex threatens the pack, it's El Skippito, the great sword fighter, to the rescue. With yips and yowls, he drives the big baddie away, so all the dino-dudes can rattle their bones another day. | We were introduced to this book and author at the National Book Festival. If you are not familiar with Skippyjon Jones, he is a Siamese cat whose head is too big for his body and whose ears are too big for his head. He believes he is a Chihuahua and takes the psuedonym Skippito when he goes on his many adventures! What a delight it was to hear Judy Schachner read this story. If you get a chance to meet her at your local bookstore, take your children and enjoy! |
