| I used this book for teaching a science unit on the Human Body to third graders. I really enjoyed the book when I was reading it myself in preparation for the class and learned many neat facts that I didn't know.
The book covers all of the major systems of the human body in an organized and informative manner with a chapter for each system. Within each chapter there are short sections describing the system and the major parts of each system. The students found the book engaging with its various short factoids about each system of the body and many great illustrations.
In order to ensure my students were able to read the book on their own, I teamed up my good readers with poorer readers.
