Then he finds a tiny white kitten in the snow. He wraps it up in his blanket and takes it home. Jackson bathes and feeds the kitten and makes a bed for it using his blanket. The streamlined text and realistic watercolor illustrations come together to show how a boy grows up just a bit when the time is right. A great addition to most collections. |

What a sweet story. I bought this book knowing my 5 year old would like it. She does....we've read it many nights in a row! We both love the gentle,
thoughtful solution to the much loved blanket. Turns out - my 2 1/2 year old enjoys it, too, and wants it read again to her (in her own room!)
I think its the rhyming she likes and she also has to find the kitty thru out. A new favorite.
