| PreSchool-Grade 1-Eve Bunting's delightful tale (Clarion, 1989) of the age-old dilemma of a father persuading his toddler to nap reaches a new dimension in this well-executed audio recording. The tape, which contains page-turn signals on one side and is uninterrupted on the other, easily lends itself to independent reading and listening. The story is told in three voices: mother, father, and Susie, the precocious toddler Susie. Father and Susie speak only dialogue with the narrator chiming in with "he said" and "Susie said," making it simpler for emergent readers to follow. The narrator also speaks for Mother with a distinctive voice. Cheery background music will further engage young readers. An appropriate addition to a preschool and kindergarten classroom listening centers as well as general primary collections.

| This book is so fun to read and a 2-3 year old can get involved in reading it with you. Your child will enjoy it - because every child understands what "no nap" means. Children will love this book and ask for it over and over. |
